INTENSITY

EXACTLY WHAT WILL BE SENT

RESOLVED
No person in frame: people and new scene elements are forbidden. Grading only.
Develop this photograph into a cinematic landscape print.

TONE:
Set a filmic tone curve — deep, detailed blacks with a soft toe, a controlled highlight shoulder that holds cloud and sky detail, and luminous, well separated midtones. Recover every recoverable stop in the highlights and open the shadows so terrain texture reads without lifting the black point.

LIGHT:
Shape the existing light. Dodge the areas the light already favours and burn the areas already in shade so the eye is led through the frame. Strengthen the natural light direction and falloff that is present in the capture; do not create a new light source.

COLOUR:
Grade with warm highlights and cool shadows for cinematic separation, while keeping hues true to the scene. Separate the blues of sky and water from the cyans, keep greens natural rather than yellow, and enrich earth and rock tones.

ATMOSPHERE AND DETAIL:
Dehaze the distance so far planes regain contrast and colour, but retain enough aerial perspective for depth to read. Add micro-contrast and clarity to rock, terrain and structure. Keep skies smooth and free of blotching.

TARGET RESULT: The frame gains cinema-grade depth and light direction without a single new element.

GRADE INTENSITY — GALLERY:
Print-exhibition strength. Push tonal separation, colour depth, dehaze and micro-contrast to the point where the photograph reads powerfully on a large print, while every tone stays believable and every highlight and shadow retains detail.

CRAFT STANDARD (applies to every instruction above):
- Full tonal range: rich blacks that are not crushed, clean whites that are not clipped, and open, separated midtones.
- Local rather than global work: dodge, burn and shape light where the frame needs it instead of moving one global slider.
- Colour must stay physically plausible for the light in the scene; no cross-processed or synthetic hues.
- Detail must be resolved, not manufactured: no haloing, no aggressive unsharp edges, no smeared or waxy textures.
- Noise controlled in the shadows while fine texture and small point detail survive.
- The finished frame must hold up at exhibition print size and look like the photographer's own best work on the file.

HOW IT RUNS

ENGINE
  • · The curator diagnoses your frame first, so the instruction fits this photo.
  • · Recipes are grading instructions — never scenes, subjects or wardrobe.
  • · The AI grade is a reference; your original pixels carry the detail.
  • · Every export leaves at the capture's own resolution and aspect.
